I didn’t actually want a Nutribullet. I owned a blender, and it was the same thing, right? My mom wanted a Nutribullet, and she wanted someone to get one with her. She was excited to try adding some raw fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies into her diet. And she wanted me to do it with her. “But I have a blender already, mom!” She knows I don’t like to keep a lot of clutter in my home, and I only buy things that are essential. My mom was persistent (she can be that way, she’s a mom), and I finally caved into purchasing a Nutribullet. OMG. I love my Nutribullet! I will never go back to a blender. Not only is the Nutribullet more powerful than my blender, it is easier to clean up and takes up less space!
Fast forward three years later… I am STILL using the same Nutribullet (I ended up donating the blender to a friend). I use it for everything from smoothies, to raw pasta sauce (amazing!), to grinding up nuts. It is versatile, durable, and easy to care for.
Fresh Smoothies and More
The raw fruit and vegetable smoothies are one of my favorite ways to use the Nutribullet. Throw any raw produce in there and the Nutribullet can handle it! It blends it into a smooth texture with no lumps or clumps. This makes it a great way to add more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. It’s also a great way to get the kids to eat more fresh produce!
I’ve made many smoothie creations, some using protein powder, almond milk, and fruit (like a dessert!). But one of my favorite smoothie blends is my Beet Blast recipe. I based this recipe off of a cold-pressed juice I’ve bought at the store. My version is even better because it contains the whole produce, and not just the juice! With the addition of the apple, the flavor of the beet is sweet and mellow. The pineapple and orange juice gives it a tropical kick, and the banana helps it come out extra creamy. Try out the recipe below!
